Is not quite here yet but soon. It was just not long ago that I was asking myself will this wet winter never end and viola, the plum tree is blooming.
As usual the Japanese plums are the first to bloom. Such a joy to see the garden awaken.
I am sure no one realize I did not blog Winter 2015. That's cause there is nothing to blog. The garden is absolutely dormant. The orchids did not bloom and the ones that are going to bloom are only budding now. Is that considered Spring orchids now? LOL. The reason why they are not blooming if anyone care to know is because of Churro. He ate the buds so there are no flowers.
This is all that is left of the late bloomers. This year uncle is more ambitious. See the cactus below. It is a dragon fruit tree. I told uncle the dragon fruit tree I saw was really big before it bear fruit. So I guess it will be a number of years before we get something out of this cutie.
Uncle also up his bird defense. He's gonna build a fotress. Look at the foundation he laid. The Owl which is on holiday will be back. I guess no bird will harvest our trees this summer.
I will miss this terribly.
